Catherine Kemmerling

Biography

Cat has 30 years of teaching, leadership, and resilience experience. She currently works for the federal government as an Advanced Leadership Instructor, and is the owner of Resilience Retreat Center, LLC in Charles Town, WV. Her undergraduate and Masters degrees are in Education from the University of Minnesota. She received her Leadership and Organizational Psychology (PsyD) doctorate at William James College where her research focus was the neuroscience of resilience. She is certified as a Master Trainer and Master Performance Consultant and is also trained to conduct the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the EQ-I 2.0 Emotional Intelligence assessment and many other instruments. Cat retired from the US Army in 2010 as a Lieutenant Colonel after 24 years of service. She held multiple leadership positions from Platoon Leader through Battalion Commander and led Soldiers in combat as an Engineer officer.
